El MiniFLIP es un viaje mágico lleno de talleres interactivos diseñados especialmente para lxs niñxs de nuestra comunidad de Providence y Rhode Island. Vengan a jugar con palabras, libros y canciones en la Biblioteca Pública de South Providence, y descubran ritmos afrocaribeños a través de la percusión en Tu Voz Es Música Talent School en Pawtucket.

Sábado 6 de abril

Dibujar el realismo mágico: un taller de cómic (Inscripción)

• Imparte: Madigan King
• Descripción: Sumérgete en el fascinante mundo del realismo mágico latinoamericano. En este taller, lograrás dibujar cómics inspirándote en la historia y memoria de los países de América Latina. Desafía los límites de tu imaginación y descubre el arte de transformar la realidad en originales mini-cómics.
• Hora: 10:00am - 12:00pm
• Lugar: Rochambeau Community Library, 708 Hope St. (Planta principal)
• Edad: 7 - 15 años (pero todxs son bienvenidxs)

Taller Infantil: Latin Drum Circle (Inscripción)

• Imparte: Yaneth Caicedo y Robertico Arias
• Descripción: Los participantes en este taller tendrán la oportunidad de descubrir, escuchar y tocar diferentes ritmos afrocaribeños mediante la percusión de instrumentos musicales de distintos países de América Latina y el Caribe. A continuación del taller, los asistentes se integrarán a un espectáculo que tendrá lugar en la misma academia de 5:00pm a 6:00pm. Habrá merienda para los niños.

• Descripción: Este será un taller interactivo de música y narraciones de cuentos en español. Con guitarra, ukelele y charango, este taller llevará a los niños a jugar con palabras, libros y canciones. Habrá merienda para los niños.

Drawing Magical Realism: A Comics Workshop (enrollment)

• Description: Dive into the fascinating world of Latin American magical realism. In this workshop, you will learn to draw comics inspired by the history and memory of Latin American countries. Push the boundaries of your imagination and discover the art of transforming reality into captivating mini-comics.

Children's Workshop: Latin Drum Circle (enrollment)

• Description: Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to discover, listen to, and play different Afro-Caribbean rhythms through the percussion of musical instruments from different Latin American and Caribbean countries. Following the workshop, participants will participate in a show at the same academy from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Snacks will be served.
